Friends become family

The beginning of May also meant lots of last girls' nights with good friends... People had planned to go back home for summertime and others were planning to start packing up their houses soon so we tried to have a few last girl's nights to soak up our time together. Started with our last Bunco night that we started two years ago with most of the med-school wives. This was always so much fun! Looked forward to it every month! Then later that week we did a smaller get together with our few close friends because our friend Erin (who had moved the previous year) was in town to visit. Just sat around and chatted, and did our nails fancy, like usual!
Then a couple days later we went down to Knoxville for some splash pad fun! It was actually fairly impromptu because we had other plans originally but changed them because it was so dang hot outside!!! The kids didn't mind that they didn't have their swimsuits of course. Marshall was happy enough in just a diaper! Hehe.
It also happened to be Diana's birthday that day and I'm glad we got to do something fun together! Even if we did have all our million kids there with us. (Husbands were studying for boards, naturally, lol) Hope you had a great day, Diana!
I am going to miss these girls SO much! They really have become like family in this journey and I wouldn't have it any other way! They've really helped me learn so much about myself AND helped me become a better person, mom, and wife. Friends who build each other up but can also laugh about anything and everything together are total keepers. Love you girls and miss you already!!
