Big move to Kingsport!

On June 20th, we finally make the BIG move to Kingsport, TN. It was actually only 1.5 hours away so it didn't actually take very long, distance wise. BUT we lived in Harrogate for 3 whole years! Longer than we've lived anywhere else! So it felt pretty big, as in, we have accumulated a lot more crap and it took longer to pack and unpack! Ha! Anyways, here are pictures starting from about two weeks before when I picked up the boxes to start packing. Yes my kids are behind the boxes in the pic, lol:

All packed up the night before! We headed out the next morning... Our piano is packed in the tiny trailer being towed by the big truck. OH and Ivy rode with Sam in the truck. She thought it was THE COOLEST thing. Ha!

Our new house! The amount of space in this place is just amazing. I'll post more pictures later on but I just about cried out of happiness for all the space we now have! Closets, playroom, music room, beautiful kitchen, AND a garage! I'm in love. More pictures to come soon!

June before the move

Just some random memories from the month of June before we headed East to Kingsport....

I haven't posted about this very much but this was during one of Ivy's therapy sessions. She has seen an occupational therapist for about a year and a half for sensory needs and this was one of our last times to go. Swinging on a swing while blowing bubbles:

Cumberland Gap fun with friends

A couple days before the Britton and Diana moved out to their rotation spot, me and Diana took our kiddos out for one last lunch picnic in Cumberland Gap. You might live in the back woods if your idea of letting your kids cool off is playing in the shady streams instead of a neighborhood swimming pool. LOL! It really was a nice, laid back, afternoon. Kiddos had fun,

Last dinner with our Harrogate family

So this was a couple days after the guys took their Board tests. Britton, Jason, and Sam have been study partners for the past couple years and we are going to miss these little get togethers. They really do feel like family these days and crazy to think we are all going separate ways! It really has been a fun few years here in Harrogate and much of it is owed to having such close friends. We spent an evening just hanging out at the Gap Creek Coffee house. Best sandwiches and ice cream around! We will definitely miss slow small town nooks like this one.

Honeymoon falls and waterpark

Before we moved to Kingsport, we were able to do a few more fun things around the area-- Honeymoon Falls is a few minutes north of us Pine Mountain State Park. Morning hike, then spent the afternoon at a little waterpark that is in Barbourville, a little more north of us. It was a fun family day for sure! Ivy very much enjoyed the fact that they let her go down the big water slide with a tube. Lazy river, waterslide, wave pool, and kiddie pool! What more do you need?? They had a blast.

Amanda's visit

Our amazing friend Amanda came into town to visit for a couple days in June and I was SO beyond happy to be able to spend some time together with the 3 of us again. She moved away just a year ago and we've missed her dearly! Even had a baby while she was gone! It was so fun to squeeze her little chunk and spend some time with her. I can't put into words how much these two girls mean to me! We've been through quite a bit! Done a lot of growing up together these past few years in Tennessee/Kentucky, that's for sure. So grateful for good friends! Love you girls!
