Lake Powell

last week after taking all of our finals in one day, me, sam, steve, and sarra took off to meet sam's family at lake powell for a couple days. we had a BLAST! lake powell is one of the most beautiful places on earth. this was our first trip down there this summer and we cant wait til july because we get to go again except it will be for a whole week! we love goin down there and bein with all the family. its always so fun to see everyone.

Lately...

So sam and i have been in school full time this semester and boy did it get busy! i got in the spring opera which was way fun. this year there were 2 one act operas, a tragedy and a comedy. i was in the tragedy which was called "Suor Angelica" by Puccini. it was a pretty sad story but so good. and the music was wonderful! if you ever get a chance to go see it at a local opera company, GO! (i do know utah opera is performing it next year in may and my voice teacher jennifer babidge is gonna be Angelica so if you are in the valley somewhere, go see it bc it will be so good!!) these are the only pics i got from the whole time i was in it haha.. they are from the last night of our performance and there was a double rainbow outside. it was so cool so i told my friend rachel to go pose for a pic... who woulda thought it would turn out this good! looks like she is creating the rainbows lol!! anywho, it was pretty fun to be a nun for a few days. we actually learned a lot during practice about the all the official stuff that they actually do. great learning experience. AND great musical experience too bc all the music in it is so BEAUTIFUL!

So lately we have been going to Seven Peaks water park bc it is literally 2 mins away and we got a GREAT discount rate for season passes from a connection of someone who works ther! YAY! we are excited to be able to go whenever we want without having to pay to get in. it was an awesome purchase for the summer!

Memorial Day

So these are pics from a little while ago but i figure they are good pics for what we did on Memorial day this year! Sam had to work in the morning til about 3:30 or so. then when he got home, we took off to Hobble Creek Canyon Golf Course (up the canyon in springville) to play a round of 9 holes with our good friends Heather and Kaden! we had so much fun! and the course is soo beautiful! of course, Kaden and Sam were the only ones keeping score really but Heather and i still had a blast working on our swing. hehe... we are definitely getting better tho! once sam and i have our own sets of clubs, we will prolly start going more often because we both love it! and this specific course isn't too expensive. especially if you just walk the course instead of use the carts (good exercise too) lol... anywho, if you couples out there are looking for something fun and different to do on a free saturday, try playing golf! (especially if one of you already knows how to play)
