Crowder's Mountain

Towards the end of July, we finally made it out to one of the more popular hikes in the area called Crowder's Mountain. It was a pretty long hike (about 4 or 5 miles round trip) and we had to take a couple snack breaks along the way for the kids but we did it! And Marshall hiked pretty much the entire way! Only got pretty tricky towards the top climb. Proud of these kiddos! It was a challenge, but oh so fun.

National Night Out

At the beginning of the month, our neighborhood threw a get together for National Night Out. They provided chicken strips, ice cream, and lots of booths with other goodies and games. They even had the police helicopter land in the nearby field and let the kids sit in it for a couple minutes! Fun evening! Kids had a great time. Just wishing Sam could've joined us, but he was working. Such is life!

Texas trip! Fun with Robinsons

I have quite a few pics from my days spent with the Robinsons so I decided to compile them into one post. My kids and I stayed at Mom R.'s house down the street from Jeff and Michelle but we ended up making it a habit to stop by every evening (at least!) because my kids were always dead set on saying goodnight to everyone before bed. There were also lots of pool mornings, and afternoons! We also celebrated Whitney's birthday
Hot rainstorm in Houston:
This stinker took a random afternoon nap and refused to go to bed:

Snow cones to cool off in this heat
Pool fun with LOTS of cousins for Whitney's birthday:
The next day we went to a trampoline park to celebrate Whitney's birthday with cousins. These hilarious big kids are such good sports with my littles. SO funny watching them interact:
Cartwheel races:
This was after Sam came to town for a few days and we were finally headed home to Charlotte. Huge thank you to everyone for making this amazingly fun trip! Missing family already! Also big Thank you to my awesome hubby for taking a couple days off work to come down and drive me back up to Charlotte. Not easy! I am super grateful he was able to do that. Tired kiddos:
