First snow of the season

First big snow of the season! Only a few inches. Kids woke up excited and were out there by 8:30 am. Ha! It was a pretty darn chilly 18 degrees this morning!
We headed to Ivy's elementary school that has the some great hills for sledding. Took a few rides down the hill then let the kids play at the playground for a while. It was super cold and windy that morning, then warmed up a bit and melted most of the snow by the next day! Not too much playing after this day.

Marshall is not as much of a snow bunny as Ivy is. It takes some convincing and distracting with selfies to get him to want to stay out in this cold. haha! Waiting for the two crazies in our family to finish sledding:

Happy New Year!

New Years this year was pretty low-key... took the kids to a fun bounce house around the corner.. then headed to Garrett's house for their New Years shindig with Jessie and girls and Jeff and Michelle. Fun night! Headed back home around 11 or so.. and I'm sorry to say, this year, none of us made it to midnight. Ha!

Pearland Happenings

These are all pictures over the course of the last 8 days or so that we spent in Pearland while staying at Jeff's house. We would head down the street to Grandma's every so often. These first couple pics are helping her pull oranges from her tree..

Cowboy attire seemed to be the trend during this particular Houston trip. I couldn't complain!
Marshall riding on a longboard.
Trying to use his bike on the halfpipe! This kid is way too skilled and way too daring. haha:
Ivy's cousins let her try out her new makeup on every single one of them! This 5 year old was in absolute heaven. Love these girls and what good sports they are for playing with my kids. I'm so glad they all love each other THIS much. hehe:
Ivy's facial expressions. lol:
Then the cousins played a little game of "blindfold make over." One person puts a blindfold on and does the other person's makeup and the other person isn't allowed to say anything about what products they reach for. lol.. Ivy brought her new karaoke machine down and serenaded the girls while this was going on. It was quite the afternoon:
Just a pic of my crazy humid Houston hair.. and sleepy Marshall! So much playing!
Lots of swimming, of course:
Handsome cowboys out for some Pappa's BBQ for dinner:
