Lake Powell 2014 (Long post, as usual! ha!)

We made the long drive out to Lake Powell again this year. The drive there was actually pretty rough--the kids were great but Sam had to work until 5pm the day we were to leave and we decided to drive through the night so the kids would be less stressful.  It was a great plan in theory but I don't think either of us are cut out for that amount of traveling with minimal sleep. We both vowed to never drive straight through again, haha! But once we got there and took the ski boat out to the house boat (already parked at the campsite), we decided no matter how stressful it ever is to get there, it is ALWAYS worth it. We both just absolutely love Lake Powell. And this year was a special one! Crazy to think that I was 18 wks pregnant the year before and this time, Marshall was there with us! He was the perfect age, too.. Already had a great schedule down, and could sit and have fun with Ivy and cousins whenever they were around (and even started crawling while we were there!). Aside from waking up at the butt crack of dawn every day (which we were anticipating), both kids were SO great on this trip! It made the week that much more enjoyable. :)  AND NOW for pictures. You've been forewarned-- it is a lot.
Paddleboards this year! Soooo fun! Emily is demonstrating her handstand skills, Michelle demonstrating her posture and balancing skills. ;)
Sam and Ivy enjoying the sand:
I NEVER would've guessed in a million years that Ivy would be such a big fan of the jet skis this year but she was obsessed!! She wanted to ride on "Rocket" every single day. It was so much fun for the both of them:
Sam showing off his donut skills... Not pictured-- they also played many rounds of Fetch the Frisbee.. Someone would launch them off the top of the houseboat and two people on jetskis would take turns retrieving it (or trying to catch it) in the water. It was quite entertaining to watch, haha:
Race to Dangling Rope Marina... The second pic is all four in the distance:
I was able to take some amazing hikes during Marshall's morning naps, hehe:

Family jet ski ride.... One morning, both kids actually fell asleep for like 20 minutes while riding around, haha! I think it's safe to say they loved it:
Lots of swim races across the bay. With the proper attire, of course:
Great pic of Aaron on the left, wakesurfing. Me on the right:
Ivy actually did try the Mabel once... Try, might be the wrong way to put it-- more like forced onto by Sam. hahah! She ended up liking it but never wanted to get on it again anytime she was offered, haha:
Cody and Aaron duel wakeboarding behind the jetski! They did it behind the boat the next day too:

Last day on the boat--Marshall was pooped! and caught a couple adorable shots of my big girl:
Jeff was able to snap a great family pic of us one evening. I think this will go down in history as one of my favorite family pictures! Thanks Jeff!!
And a BIG thank you to Dad Robinson and Trish for having us every year! We always have such a great time!

Summer in Tennessee

Just wanted to include some photos of our nice breezy summer here in town. It's just barely starting to really heat up. May through July, we had such perfect temperatures of low/mid 80s. We enjoyed many fun filled days with trips to the pool, sprinklers in the backyard, volleyball games with daddy, thunderstorms and more!
Every now and again, strong thunderstorms have blown through. Even a couple tornadoes in the area. It gets pretty intense up here on our little hill:
Our local library had an animal day during the summer for kids. Ivy's absolute favorite part was the SNAKE. She could care less about the bird or other furry creature. But LOVED the snake and spider! I just found that so funny:
Fire pit fun with good friends, down by the river:
Visited with good friends Mindy and Ryan again down in Knoxville. These two just kill me! Gavin is the sweetest little boy and Ivy, apparently, is a big fan as well. They were literally two peas in a pod the whole time:
Backyard fun:
Haymakers:
Tried out the city pool in New Tazewell a few times. They had a new splashpad area that was perfect for Ivy:
Date night in Cumberland Gap:

Swings with the big little man:
More backyard fun. I love the water droplets in these photos:
This girl sure has grown in one year! She no longer looks like a baby to me! Sad! lol.. See similar pics that I took of her around this same time last summer- here...
