New Haircut

I've been needing a haircut for a while.. Been craving something different so at the beginning of December, I decided to just go chop it again! I guess I just wasnt ready for it to be long yet. Ended up having to take Marshall with me to my hair appointment and although he was pretty good the whole time, let's just say I wont be doing that again! Haha! The hairstylist did an amazing job! It was exactly what I asked for. A-line, where it's short in the back and long in the front. Yay for good haircuts! Now, to get used to having short hair again! 

Thanksgiving in N.C.

This year for Thanksgiving, we headed down to Dan and Richelle's house in North Carolina and Steve and Sarra were able to make the long drive down from NY to be with all of us! It was a full, but very fun house! The kids had a blast and it was fun to catch up with Steve and Sarra! And it's always a fun time with Dan, Richelle, and their boys so it was a great trip!

Thanksgiving day!! Pretty proud of the spread that me, Sarra, and Richelle were able to whip up! Dan helped with the potatoes, too. ;-) Everything was SO delicious. Still drooling over it all:

The next day we went on a fun little hike around a lake near Dan and Richelle's house. The weather was perfect! Nice little walk! The mill there at the park was so pretty!!

Kingsport Thanksgiving parade

One afternoon in November, we enjoyed the Thanksgiving Parade here in Kingsport with some good friends. The kids thought it was AWESOME. Gotta love small town festivities!

Random November

Just wanted to write down some random memories from the month...

Ivy attends Headstart here in the city. Because we are still students, we get approved for fun things like that. It is an amazing program, really.. Anyways, the Masons here in town donate a free pair of tennis shoes to each child at Headstart every year and as part of the charity, the kids get to take a field trip to the local Masonic Temple for the members to "fit" the kids for their shoes. It was such a sweet event to see. The people there were SO nice and so generous to these kids, many of which, really could use a brand new pair of shoes. Ivy really wanted for me to come so Marshall and I tagged along that morning, and the people were nice enough to even offer Marshall a pair! It really was a thoughtful event. They sat the kids down in a line and the members fitted them with their new pair of socks and shoes! Ivy was in LOVE with her light-up Doc Mcstuffins shoes. So fancy! We were so grateful!

Marshall discovered he was capable of climbing out of his crib and continued to do so for a couple days. (Shortly after, he fell a little while climbing out and was so scared by the event that he was cured of his climbing phase! ha!) Shenanigans during naptime--

We've been doing a coupon system where if she does something independently or is having really good behavior, she gets a coupon! 5 coupons=fun activity with mom. So we've started getting creative with things to do together. Doesn't much to please this girl! Just some one-on-one time and a little bit of direction...
