(Our trip was close to 3 weeks long which means there are more pictures than normal. I divided the posts into different parts just so it's not one long gigantic post.)
We started off our trip staying at Dad R.'s house for a few days before they left for their trip to Durango. We had so much fun! Ivy was a big fan of swimming just about every day we were there. Gotta love Texas in December! Ha! Ivy still talks about swimming at Grandpa's house quite often.. We definitely enjoyed lots of great food, including our local favorite Tex Mex place in the area.. They serve a deep fried avocado that is just to die for! No joke! Then the kids and I enjoyed a fun day at the mall with Trish and Jessica while Sam went to the ranch with his dad for some fun activities. It is always SO fun to see Dad R. and Trish and we are so grateful for all they do for us and the kids!! We celebrated Christmas with them one evening and Ivy was so excited for some new toys from Grandma and Grandpa! AND a personalized princess jacket that you will see in later pictures. It is seriously her favorite coat now. Thanks so much for having us, Dad and Trish!!!

There was one evening that Sam and I took Ivy down to our good friend Jared's wedding reception that was on the north side of Houston. Sadly, we didn't get ONE picture of us with the new bride and groom but we did get a couple others.. It was awesome to see and visit with so many old friends that evening! Especially fun for me to be with two of my closest friends, Tiffany and Natalie. Us three go waaay back and it was sooo nice to sit and chat and catch up on what's been going on in our lives lately. Miss living near them! This first picture is of Ivy and Kynlee (Tiffany's daughter), who are just 4 months apart in age. They are so stinking cute together:
