4th anniversary!

I know I say this every year but I can't believe it's already been this long since we were married! The past year has just flown by! And I know I will probably say that every year to come, as well! haha.. This anniversary was especially fun because we are down here in Texas and because we are expecting... exciting stuff! Our actual anniversary was this past Wednesday, the 4th. Sam had to sell in the morning and then came home for a late lunch. He said he made some sales that morning so he decided to take the rest of the day off! yay! We were coming up with ideas of things we could do to celebrate and randomly, Sam thought that maybe we could go up and take his dad's boat out on the lake for a little sunset drive.. I was in no way opposed to this idea at all, of course. :) Sam called up his dad who said he would be home that evening and wouldn't mind at all so off we went to Conroe! (Thanks Dad!)

We ended up taking some back roads instead of the freeway and the drive was so beautiful... we love the north side of Houston which looks mostly like this:
Leaving the dock.. my husband's pretty much a pro:
It was so nice to be out on the lake after being land-locked up in Utah for so long...
Love this. so much. pretty sure we are going to have to live near a lake some day:

My husband is seriously the greatest. I say all the time that I'm soo grateful I married him. :) He is my best friend and can't wait to go through our next step in life together. Baby Girl could come any day now and we are so excited! I know Sam is going to be an AWESOME dad... Here's to our many years to come together! Love you babe! :D

Easter weekend

Sam and I spent Easter weekend with his family considering I had been able to spend quite a bit of time with my family while he was still in Utah. He finally drove in the Friday before Easter and it was sooo amazing to finally see him and have him and puppy here with me.. Saturday we spent the day celebrating the Easter holiday at Jeff and Michelle's house complete with egg dying, a fabulous BBQ and an easter egg hunt.. Then on Sunday we headed up to Sam's dad's house in Conroe and for a wonderful Easter dinner and games with all the family. Didn't get any pictures that day but it was a day well spent. :) We are so grateful for our family here in Houston and that we are able to spend so much time with them. We are also grateful for our Savior and his sacrifice for us. It was a lovely day to be able to reflect on that as well. The most important thing about Easter, of course..

Pics from Saturday's egg hunt at Jeff's... think we have enough eggs?? hehe:

Run kids, run! haa:

So I also wanted to include just a few pics of how Max is adjusting to Houston these days.. I think he likes it. I know he has always been a fan of warmth. And the sunlight, for sure.. These first couple pics were from hanging out in Kelli's backyard one day. They have this bucket full of foam balls that the kids play with.. We decided to throw em all out there and see how Max liked them. It was hilarious! He couldn't ever decide which ball to go for. I think he was pretty much in ball heaven. lol..

....Max getting used to our new apartment. Thank goodness we get some sun shining through in the afternoons because this is one of his favorite pastimes:
Max, the cat (He loves that he can see out this window. He's there practically all day long letting me know when a people or a big truck passes by or when Sam gets home, lol):

BBQ at Kelli's

This was actually the evening after my baby shower a few weeks ago. Tyson and Valerie were in town and we decided to do a fun dinner with everyone. And the weather ended up being PERFECT! nice and cool... at least for Houston standards, lol. The only thing missing that day was Sam! He hadn't driven down yet because of finals..
Actually chillin out on the deck all evening! in Houston! it was so nice...
Mmm cookies. nice goose-egg, michael, ehe:

 Dog Park in Salt Lake:
Along the trail, Max met a gorgeous little girl dachshund that was black and tan, long-haired.. she was soooo cute!! And he was totally crushing! It was hilarious to watch him chase her all around. He was totally smitten, hehe.. I tried to get a picture but this is the closest I got:
Chillin with his friend Clifford (our neighbor's dog from across the street).. they were best buds:
