These pics are from the 10 days we spent at Matt and Amy's house. Since Sam was working most of the time we were up there, we decided to just camp at their house during the days. Kids enjoyed playing with their cousins, the pool/hot tub in the back, and chasing all the kitties around the house. Ha! Sam and I snuck in a run at one point and there were also some bike rides and dirt bike fun here and there! Sam and Matt smoked meat in his fancy smoker just about every evening, which was delicious and made dinner easy! We really enjoyed our time with Matt and Amy. Their kids have grown up and matured so much sine we last visited them. They really are some great kiddos! Playing games every night with the family, after my kids were in bed, was probably my favorite part. And being able to catch up with Amy throughout the day and evenings when Sam and Matt would be late. Really made us miss living near them and being able to visit as often as we used to!
Matt had a company dinner at the Idaho Falls Zoo one evening. It was perfect for the kids!! Marshall and Amy both had sweet rides. ;-) Amazing dinner, fun zoo animals, and some of the greatest face painting I've ever seen! We had a great time! Thanks Matt and Amy!!
The story of this tortoise-- Matt and Amy's neighbor (who lived about a quarter of a mile away) had a tortoise that got out of their yard and they couldn't find it! They had called a couple days before these pics letting them know to be on the lookout for it. Low and behold, he came wandering into Amy's yard, mid-day and we had to keep him in a little fence and feed him some lettuce leaves until their neighbors came to pick him up. It was quite an eventful afternoon. My kids thought it was hilarious. The cats thought he was very peculiar. haha!
Cow appreciation day in Idaho Falls:
We went to say hi to Sam's cousin TJ and his family one Sunday. They also live in the area and it was super fun to see them again!
Matt and Sam took the dirt bikes out to the mountains one morning. They took along Matt's bro-in-law, Chris. Looked like they had fun!
Thank you SO SO much, Matt and Amy for letting us crash your house for so long! We really had a wonderful time and Sam loved being able to do his rotation there in the area.
