4th of July in Idaho

After getting off the houseboat at Lake Powell, we continued our journey north, to Idaho, with a short overnight stop at Sam's Aunt Patty and Uncle Terry's house in SLC. The view from their backyard is unbeatable! Kids enjoyed getting to know their great Aunt and Uncle and we had a blast catching up! It's been a few years since we've been back to Utah since leaving in 2012.
The morning of the 4th, we headed up to Amy and Matt's house. We were actually up there for 10 days for Sam to do a rotation with Matt at his clinic. Started out the week with a holiday shindig there at their house in Shelley, with Matt's family. Such a fun day!
Matt and Amy drove up to Idaho Falls to watch the fireworks but our kids were feeling pretty wiped out from all our traveling so we decided to skip the big show and stay home to put them to bed early. But lucky for us, the neighbors were setting off some right there in the cul-de-sac for us to see before it got too late! Fun fun night. They were nice enough to share seats and sparklers with us. Such awesome neighbors!
