May fun

And the last of our pictures from May, finally... Just some randoms of our every day memories.. lunch with dad on campus, playing with friends, etc. Love springtime in Harrogate!
Ivy, trying to be funny, insisted I do her hair in FIVE braids. So i made her stay seated for FIVE braids. I don't think she will ever ask for that again, haha:
At a birthday party for some good friends:

Dinner down by the river at Heavy's:

Ivy is going to miss these girls! We've had so much fun!

Ohio trip #2!

Right after my recital in May, Sam had lots of studying to do for his first boards that were coming up so we decided to give him a few days of peace and quiet so he'd be able to focus and drove up to see Eric and Sarah again in Ohio! (that was just our excuse, hehe). It was another fun trip and I'm really glad we have cousins living so close for Ivy to play with. She really gets along great with the girls! And it seemed like their youngest boy was so happy to have a buddy to play with instead of having to hang with the girls! The boys had fun too! Quick trip but my SIL Sarah made sure to keep it packed with fun things to do! Splash pads, parks, museums and ice cream outings made for a great trip! Thanks Eric and Sarah for having us again!! Until next time! ;-)

Spring Recital (and final recital in Harrogate!)

Well, this was it! Our last recital together before I moved! So bittersweet! I really do feel blessed to know each one of my students and I love that I had the opportunity to see each one grow so much these past few years! Every student was such a hard worker and I really appreciated how much they cared about their voice and about music! It really was such a joy to see them learn! I know they will each go on to do great things with their voices and I couldn't be more proud! Also have to give a great big shout out to our amazing accompanist, Todd who just stepped right in to our little music family and really made such a difference in helping us all perform! He was such a big help! Thank you Todd! And thank you students for being the BEST students ever! I will miss all of you!

Cumberland Falls

One weekend in May, we took a morning trip up to Cumberland Falls to explore a little. Allergies were crazy this day and Ivy was a tad cranky but other than that, it was so fun! The falls were SO beautiful! Such a pretty time of year. The last time we had visited, the water was a little brown but coming earlier in the springtime meant blue/green water. Such a beautiful area! Got lunch, ate it at there at the park, then did a little hiking and exploring!
