Outtings with friends

Lots of fun was had in January with our friends. A visit to Bass Pro Shop, Kingsport Carousel, and a warmer day at the park made for some fun mornings!

It's pretty much the best thing in the world when you run into your bestie at the store and then decide to take him home for a playdate. Love these boys.

Farm to Table MNO

In January, my mom's group went to a cute little dinner out in the country at a farm. They host a "Farm to Table" dinner couple times a month and we reserved a table for our night out! Love these girls. It was a nice little getaway for an evening! And the food was delish!

100 Day!

I don't remember exactly which day was 100 day at school but last month, Ivy had a project to decorate a crown with 100 things. It could have been stickers, or pennies or cotton balls, or anything! Ivy chose to use her beads and hot glue them with mom. I think it turned out pretty cute! Creative girl!

Potty training the kid

I figured if I never put it in my schedule, it would never happen. Marshall has been ready for a little while but I knew he wasn't the type of kid to just do it himself which meant I would have to give it a go at some point. Ha! The week after my voice recital would be the week! Made a sticker chart, bought some treats and set up camp at home for a few days. He wasn't too thrilled at first, if you can't tell from the photos. Lol! Took a few days of figuring out how to pee on command, but after he figured that out, things were good! I know there will be accidents for a while longer, but at least I can say we are out of diapers finally! Woo! At the end of the sticker chart, he got to pick out a new car from the store. He's doing great at night too. That's how I knew he was ready in the first place is most nights, he wakes up dry. Yay for this horrible milestone to be overwith! Hate potty training. Ha!

Wild Bear Falls

One Saturday, we took the kids down to Wild Bear Falls down in Gatlinburg. Love this indoor waterpark! This is always such a fun winter escape for us. Marshall wasn't too sure about the big dumping bucket on the playground this time around but Ivy couldn't get enough! He loved the lazy river and hot tubs though. We had a great time with our little water babies.

January Recital

We celebrated the end of last semester with a winter recital put on by my beautiful students! It was held in January because December was just too busy this year! I was so proud of each of my students! They each performed wonderfully! Ivy loved watching them sing and said she wanted to participate in my recital in May! We shall see how that goes. had to snap a selfie with my gorgeous girl. She always loves an excuse to dress fancy. ;)

Marshall's haircut

Marshall had his first haircut at a barber last month! I love it long, but it just needed some taming. Marshall was so good and thought it was pretty cool to be in such a manly store. Haha! I do think the barber cut it a tad shorter than I would have liked but he still did a good job. No more ragamuffin hair!
