California!

A couple weeks ago i was able to fly out to cali to visit my sisters Kristin and Kari in Lincoln. it was soo much fun! i left sam at home so we could just do girly/sister stuff without having to worry about dragging the boys along haha... we started the weekend off shopping and dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. YUM! then sunday was church, etc. then the next few days, we spent time at the pool, getting pedicures, eating at Panera(another YUM!), getting pizookies and BJ's, and mostly just hangin out. it was also waaay fun seeing and playing with all my neices and nephews who i hadnt seen in over a year! the trip was a nice break from school. i was able to just sit and relax and not have to worry about any homework or anything. just playing with my sisters! so fun! i miss them already! thanks for having me guys! i had a great time! anywho, here are some pics... sorry there are so many, i just couldnt choose which ones to leave out!

Snowboarding

So a few weekends ago we drove up to Snowbird ski resort to see some of Sam's family. Jeff and Patrice were there with both their families for a week long ski trip. It was so fun to see everyone and play tons of games and what not. We even went swimming in the heated pool one evening.. One day we went up just for a day of snowboarding with everyone and it was soo awesome! thanks for comin up guys! we had a blast!

My Birthday! YAY!

this past friday- April 3rd was my birthday and it was a great one this year.. even tho it was raining and freeeezing all day, it was still fun. i had school all day so nothing much happened til sam came to campus around 2 with a HUGE hilarious high school musical bday card. it was great. the card said he was taking me on a shopping spree!!! so we left school and went shopping for a few hourse before dinner. sam also had a couple of other little gifts in the car for me. he is so sweet!! so we went shopping for a while which was soo fun especially bc sam actually came with lol.. then when dinner rolled around, we met up with steve and sarra AND jeff, michelle and the girls who are in town for a ski trip. we went to BENIHANA'S in salt lake which was delicious!! the sushi there is soo good. and the tepanyaki was fun too. then we went to jeff and michelle's hotel room across the street to play games. later we went to baskin robbins to get a yummy ice cream cake for the end of my birthday celebrations. it was a great day! thanks everyone for celebrating with me! and thanks mom, dad, and sisters for my presents the week before!! i love my new cardigan and skirt... (ps- all the pics are phone pics so they are sorta blurry. we keep forgetting out camera. lol)

New hair cut!!

I started getting bored with my old hairstyle so i decided to go get it cut last saturday. i went to Sam's cousin Lisa who did a great job! love her! so i didnt get much off the length, just a LOT more layers than i used to have. and i got some fun kinda short bangs in the front the are angled and look really good. i've never had bangs before so its a new experience. i love em! also its fun because i finally bought a round brush to just blow it dry. i was getting sick of how flat my hair looked when i would ONLY straighten it. btw- these pics are from my phone so they might be a little blurry. you get the idea tho... anywho, i love my new hairstyle. its a nice change.

Choir Concert and Recital!

This past weekend was a pretty eventful one for us! both sam's mom and my parents came up for all the festivities and it was really fun having them all here.. first, on friday evening, we had our Concert Choir concert which was a special one compared to other concerts because it wasnt combined with other choirs. it was just us. and it went great! My Junior Recital was the next day(saturday) so sam took my dad shooting that morning while i stayed home with my mom to get ready for my recital.. it was later that afternoon and went really well!! yay! it was so fun having everyone there to see me and to visit with them afterwards during the little reception we had and later during dinner. all in all it was a great weekend. BUSY but great. and its nice now that everything is finally over. waay less stressful! yaaay im done with my recital!!!! it feels soo awesome to be done!

Junior Recital

So as of this morning, my junior recital is now official! yay! i am doing it with my friend lori (you usually do your junior one with someone else then your senior one by yourself) and we had our hearing this morning. meaning we had to sing for our professors and they tell us if they think we are ready or not. its a pass or fail kinda thing and we passed! so if any of you are going to be around the area or are close enough for driving down, come see me(us) perform! you wont be disappointed. its SATURDAY MARCH 21, 2009 at 3:30PM on byu campus and only about an hour long (and we will have refreshments, yum!). so usually whenever a musician in the school of music is having a recital they make a poster for it and this is the one we put together to post around the building.. anywho, let me know if you are interested in coming and i can give more details about what building its in, how to get there etc etc.
