Our Apartment

Yes im just getting pics posted of our apt. even tho we got here about a month ago. right after we moved in and got settled we had to jump right into school so i didnt ever take pics of our place until just recently. so after a few requests from family and friends to see what our place looks like, i finally decided to put forth an effort. however, our office is not completely unpacked and our bedroom is a mess because we dont own a dresser yet lol. i didnt really see it necessary to show those rooms anyways.. SO what you see is what you get haha.. our place is located near 400 s. and state st(for those of you who know provo, its near where 700 east turns into state st before you head to springville). we love this place and feel so blessed to be able to live here! anywho, hope you enjoy the pics!

our kitchen table(the left door is our water heater, etc. and the door next to it is our pantry):

End of the Best Summer Ever!

These pics are all from the last couple weekends of our summer down in San Antonio. My parents came out to visit us one weekend and we all went out for dinner to Pappadeaux along with a bunch of friends from work.. of course, it was after our amazing shopping day at the outlet malls near where we lived. this is us girls with our new coach purses from the outlet! both christa and my mom got their first coach purses ever! yay! i guess they were our end of the summer gift to ourselves haha.. it was so fun!

... at pappadeaux. sooo good!
This was in front of the San Antonio Temple. it was fun having my parents come down to hang out with us... to see our place and for us to be able to show them around a little bit.
So Sam and Andy's friend Seth came to visit them for a couple days and we figured since it was our LAST weekend in san antonio that we should all go do some sight seeing lol.. this was at the Alamo:
The somewhat beautiful riverwalk- aside from the dirty water and gross mexican food, it really was a nice atmosphere. we all had lots of fun... and we will miss san antonio so much!

My Latest Obsessions

So these are a few things that i have been REALLY into lately. Need i say anymore about this first picture?? the last book in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series.. Christa and I went to barnes and noble to get it right at midnight the first night it came out. so i finally finished it last thursday and LOVED every minute of the entire book. i liked it so much better than the other books, prolly because it deals with more adult issues and situations. not sure i would let a 13 year old read it but it is now my favorite book out of the entire twilight series. if you havent read it yet, go buy it! this book is definitely worth reading. This is my new perfume... Its call Viva la Juicy by Juicy Couture. just bought it over the weekend and it smells AMAZING! kinda fruity but at the same time, smells like sweet sugar. i love love love it... if you get the chance to smell it at a Juicy store or a department store, you will get hooked! So there is a COACH outlet in the outlet malls near my house and i have been dying all summer for a new Coach purse. Sam finally agreed to let me buy one and this is the one i chose. i love it!! now, i know it doesnt have the signature Coach C's on it so i bought a scarf to tie onto a corner of the strap on the purse. Neither of these pics to them justice. the scarf matches the brown on the purse and they look so cute together!! and i got em both at an AWESOME price.. i love coach! and outlet malls! lol...

Lake Powell!

A few weeks ago we were able to go with sam's family to Lake Powell. There were so many people in our group-close to 30! you can imagine how much food and stuff we had with us! lol anyways, Lake Powell is located halfway in utah, half in arizona in the glen canyon area. its a branch off the grand canyon so its all gorgeous red rock! the lake is sooo huge that it took almost an hour to get the houseboat out to our campsite and about 30 mins to 1 hr to get anywhere else we wanted to on the ski boat(hole in the rock, rainbow bridge).. no matter how many other house boats or ski boats were around us, it never felt crowded because this lake is so huge! after not going last summer and hearing all the fun stories of those who went, sam wasnt gonna let this opportunity pass us by again. we flew to pheonix then drove 4 hours up thru flagstaff and page to Antelope Point marina. the long process was worth it because we had a blast!! thanks to Dad R. for letting us stay with him on the houseboat and for letting us use all the water toys. Many great memories! we are planning on going every year from now on because it was so fun!

Antelope Point Marina, dad r.'s awesome wakeboarding boat:
the houseboat's fully furnished topdeck, we slept up here on mattress pads. it was fun.. also a nice place to just chill on the couches and watch a movie on the tv:
one of the coolest pics of the week, sam's tailgrab on the wakeboard, and he landed it! :)
me wakeboarding, this was right before i did an unintentional jump then faceplanted haha. still got a lot to learn :
this was our entertainment for a couple hours, the 3 teenage girls on the right would battle the 3 12 year olds on the left, it was actually pretty even wins lol:
I wasnt with them this day but thought the pics were cool... we did get to go cliffjumping the day before at a different place. it was soo fun! this first pic is of patrice, the second is jeff's sweet jump:
going mabling with the kids, steve was driving and gave some pretty wild rides, cami's face is priceless in the 3rd pic haha.. 4th pic is of me, cami, and whitney:
we had 4 jetskis total (3 in this pic).. 2 of em could get up to 70 mph! i never went that fast lol:
Hole in the Rock!! not really a hole, just a steep canyon that supposedly the pioneers came thru when they were crossing at some point. when this pic is enlarged you can see tiny tiny people not very far up. at first glance, youd think they would be bigger but it really is a huge place... this hike was so high and intense, the pic is very deceiving haha:
our group, minus patrice/eric taking pics, sitting around the plaque up ontop.. the other pics are of the amazing view:
Rainbow Bridge! dont be fooled by this pic either, this thing is MASSIVE. i wasnt expecting it to be so crazy big... pretty breathtaking. plus it was a nice easy hike, at least compared to the day before haha:
