4th of July weekend

These are pictures from the past weekend. we hadnt originally planned to go to houston but when sam found out that all his bros were going down, he felt left out and HAD to go haha... so we went down friday evening of the 4th and were able to go on a long motorcycle ride and out for dinner. we spent pretty much the whole weekend riding jeff's motorcycles (sam's bro). it was soo much fun! and sam is getting pretty good at driving em all so it makes it even more fun now. i also had time to go out with kelli, alexa, and mom and dad for lunch and shopping on saturday. that was fun too! its been a while since ive been able to see mom. i forgot to take a pic of us at lunch but here are a couple of me, alexa and kelli. alexa is so cute! she is becoming so photogenic- i love it! lol

BBQ and Pool fun

This weekend we didnt go out to eat as a company so we decided to throw an amazing BBQ with tons of yummy food! our apt complex had a grill right next to the pool so it was perfect! eat and swim all evening. so much fun! these are a few pics when the guys all started goofin around in the pool while christa and i sat on the side and watched haha...

Sunday Drive

So this past sunday, we decided to take a drive up to Canyon Lake after church. its about 30 mins north of where we live in san antonio (we live on the north side).. sam has this thing about looking up great places for us to live in our future. his dream is to have a lakehouse someday so naturally, he likes to look up different lakes in texas haha.. this particular lake was sooo pretty. the water was actually REALLY blue and clear. the houses are all kinda on hills up high above the lake. im sure they had gorgeous views from their backyards. it really is a beautiful area of texas. so hilly and green. anywho, this section we stopped to take pictures at was called overlook park. its right near the huge dam they have. there were some cute beaches down below that look like tons of fun! we will definitely have to come back for a bbq beach/lake party sometime with our friends. i also included a few pics of around where we live in san antonio. we live 2 mins from the temple and on the backside of the hill, you can see the temple from far away. its awesome!

SUMMER!

Its finally the summer and boy is it the summer! this is our first summer in texas together in about 3 years. Sam was in chile for 2 years then we spent last summer in new mexico. being in albuquerque last summer was quite different than here. hello humidity!!!!! its nice tho. i never have to put lotion on to moisturize my skin. although you sweat after 10 seconds of being outside at 10:00 at NIGHT, its still fun to live here in san antonio. we live on a really nice side of town right near the temple and are only about 3 hours from houston. its been fun being able to travel down there almost every weekend. even if its just from saturday afternoon til sunday evening, we always find enough time to have a great time! memorial day weekend was VERY fun. sam took a couple days off and we met some of his bros and sis's at his dad's lake house then all went to the ranch. these are pretty much the only recent pics i have because our camera died and we just havent charged it up to take more since then. anywho, it was a pretty long and eventful weekend! we had a blast!

there were some great trails in the forest behind the ranch. riding the horses up and down those hilly paths was so fun! (behind me in the pic)
