So the weekend before 4th of July, we drove out to Dan's house for some amazing smoked ribs in his new smoker! It was SO delicious! Fun day hanging out with family! And so nice that we are within driving distance to just make a day trip!
Sam ended up having the day off for July 4th so we enjoyed the day together! Started with a neighborhood parade. Kids helped decorate their bikes and got to ride with lots of other neighbors and next to a firetruck! Then we headed to the pool for fun activities set up by the lifegaurds. Balloon toss and noodle races! Kids thought it was awesome. Later we had some resident friends over for bbq and sparklers with the kids! Once it got dark we headed down and watched the neighbors on our street put on some big fireworks. Kids didn't last long! Maybe next year we'll find an actual fireworks show in the city somewhere!
