We really feel like we were sent to the right place when we started to get to know people in Sam's residency program. Within the first few weeks of starting here, they had a backyard shrimp boil pool party, where all families were invited to attend, AND a family Lake Day at one of the attendings condos on Lake Norman. Most attendings and spouses came to both these events as well as lots of residents from all years. It was fun to meet all the people Sam would be working with these next 3 years. They really made us feel right at home here in Charlotte. Everyone is super social and very very nice. And the fellow residents in Sam's year are a perfect fit for Sam! They were all pretty much instant friends in those first couple weeks. We are SO grateful to have gotten into a program with such a good medical family here!
One of Sam's attendings brought his pontoon boat, so we took it out for a spin! Also got to take a turn on a jetski with the kids.
