This was really an amazing occurrence we got to witness! The solar eclipse on August 21st. What better way to spend the day than with good neighborhood friends and sprinklers. We were prepared with glasses for everyone and kept going back and forth between watching the eclipse and playing in the water! When it got to the full eclipse, he headed to the front yard to get the best view of the neighborhood when it got dark. I would say it didn't turn completely nighttime, more just dusk looking. But the streetlights did come on! There were also crazy shadows all over the ground of the eclipse shape. Our other neighbor Chris came out and snapped a group shot with his polaroid and you can see what the lighting was like in that photo the best! Exciting day!

Crafts with kids
Sam has been hard at work so we've been getting creative with how we spend our last summer days. melting crayons and paper bag puppets made for a full afternoon.
Leisa and Porter visit
Leisa and Porter were headed to the coast back in August and decided to make a stop in Charlotte for a night! The kids were SO happy to see each other and had such a blast together! Balloon fight, pool fun, and then a stop at the ice cream shop made for a great time! My favorite pics were of Marshall and Lucy. He was sad she had to leave so soon. Ha! Love these friends of ours!
