Spirit week at Ivy's school! Every day was a different theme. First day was "mismatch day" and the second day was "dress like a book character day" so she went as Pinkalicious, with even her face pink! The other days were wear funny socks and something else that I can't remember but it wasnt as involved. Friday was dress like a cowboy/cowgirl day. Love that cute girl and how excited she gets for stuff like this!

Mom's Club Halloween Party

Just a few pictures from our get-together with friends for a Halloween Party! Kids dressed up, had a cupcake walk (that Ivy won cupcakes in!) and trick-or-treated to some decorated cardboard box houses. Fun (and a little crazy) night!

Halloween!

We've never been ones to do coordinating costumes so here is your Dragon and Rainbow Princess Barbie. haha! Trick-or-Treating was a BIG success this year. Both my kids were old enough to stay up a little later and actually walk from house to house! We live in a fairly hilly neighborhood, though, so I knew we'd still need the stroller for Marshall. Loved this view (pic on the right) of the mountains and freeway in the distance. We were at the top part of the hills in the neighborhood. The weather was perfect. Our neighborhood doesnt have many trick-or-treaters so every house was giving my kids multiple pieces of GOOD candy! Not the cheap, gross kind. Love our neighbors! We had so much at the end that Sam decided to have a candy draft between the 4 of us so we all got exactly what we wanted out of our loot pile! haha!

Fender's Farm with friends

Marshall's good friend Aden had a birthday party at Fender's Farm a few weeks back and I love that our group of friends make birthday parties such a family event! Most of our friends came and we all had a blast exploring the farm and activities afterwards. Thanks Krissy and family for such a fun day!
Ivy telling Marshall poop and fart jokes. (insert eye-roll emoji.) Not sure why they think these gross jokes are so funny but at least they are getting along..? :
Hayride!
Pumpkin ride with Kait and our minions:
Heather snapped these great shots of our kiddos towards the end of the day. Love these sweet friends:

Book Club

For October, I was in charge of picking out a book to read for the book club that I'm a part of. I just had to choose the book, then host the meeting with discussion questions about the book. I decided to go a little festive and do a Halloweenie type of book titled A Night of Blacker Darkness by Dan Wells. It was a hilarious tale told in a conversational play-write sort of style. I'm not sure I've laughed that hard about a book in a long time, if not ever! I highly recommend it! Anyways, tried to have some fun with the refreshments. Turned out to be a fun night!
