Fender's Farm with friends

Marshall's good friend Aden had a birthday party at Fender's Farm a few weeks back and I love that our group of friends make birthday parties such a family event! Most of our friends came and we all had a blast exploring the farm and activities afterwards. Thanks Krissy and family for such a fun day!
Ivy telling Marshall poop and fart jokes. (insert eye-roll emoji.) Not sure why they think these gross jokes are so funny but at least they are getting along..? :
Hayride!

Heather snapped these great shots of our kiddos towards the end of the day. Love these sweet friends:

Book Club

For October, I was in charge of picking out a book to read for the book club that I'm a part of. I just had to choose the book, then host the meeting with discussion questions about the book. I decided to go a little festive and do a Halloweenie type of book titled A Night of Blacker Darkness by Dan Wells. It was a hilarious tale told in a conversational play-write sort of style. I'm not sure I've laughed that hard about a book in a long time, if not ever! I highly recommend it! Anyways, tried to have some fun with the refreshments. Turned out to be a fun night!

Play date at Warriors

Still catching up on October! a couple weeks ago, my friend Shannon set up for the Mom's Club kids to have a fun play date at Warriors State Park with one of the rangers! He talked to the kids about wildlife and took them on a fun little hike! Then he spent the rest of the time showing the kids how to roll down hills. Fun afternoon! Love living in such an outdoor friendly region!

Hike with the Thomsens

The weather is finally cooling down and the leaves are changing! We took a little hike with our friends, the Thomsens, one afternoon. After the kids got used to actually having to walk a ways, we all had fun! Ha! Marshall still doesnt seem quite ready to hike on his own quite yet so he spent most of the time on our backs or shoulders. We hiked along the top ridge at Bays to the radio towers. I think the kids thought the towers was the most exciting part! And having lunch together afterwards, hehe. So fun to go on an adventure with friends!

Family Pics 2016

Back in October my good friend Heather was able to snap a few family pictures for us. I totally loved the venue we picked! I had no idea that the grounds at Allendale Mansion were so gorgeous! Helps to have a photographer with such a wonderful eye, as well. It was semi-stressful, as pictures with kids always are, but I'm so glad Heather was able to capture some great shots! Thank you thank you Heather!!

And finally, a few outtakes, lol.. Trying to get those gosh darn kids to smile was rough!
