Fern Valley Farm with Mom's Club

One morning while Grandma was in town, we met up with Mom's Club at Fern Valley Farm for a fun play date for all the kiddos. We took a hay ride, visited with animals, held bunny rabbits, and decorated tiny pumpkins! Then we enjoyed a nice picnic lunch under the trees right there on the farm. Perfect morning! And so fun to have Grandma with us!

Morning run with my love

While Mom Robinson was in town, we escaped for a morning to get a good quiet run in on the greenbelt. Gorgeous scenery and the perfect company.

Grandma comes to visit

At the beginning of the month, Grandma Robinson came to visit! It was such a fun few days having her here to play games and explore the area a little bit.  She came to Fern Valley Farm with the kids and I and we showed her our favorite barbecue place in town. Also drove around Asheville a bit and finished up her visit at another favorite restaurant- Tupelo Honey! The drive down to the airport was so colorful. Glad she was able to see this area in October! We really enjoyed her visit, as usual, and already miss her so much!

Cantemus Baroque and Beyond

We had a wonderful concert at the beginning of the month. It was titled Baroque and Beyond. The first half we did a 5 movement piece by Hasse title Misere in C Minor. This was such an amazing (and tough!) piece to work on and share with others! It especially fun because I had a solo in one of the movements. Some close friends came to hear the concert and it was nice to share with them a taste of what I do in my own genre. It was such a refreshing opportunity in a region that doesn't predominantly favor classical music.  It has been so wonderful to work with Patty and these ladies.  Love my musical family here in Tri-cities! And love my amazing girlfriends who support me and our little local group! :)

More September happenings

Some extra pics that didn't make it onto any other posts this month.. These first two are from another fun little birthday party at Steel Creek Park riding the trains. My kids love this park!

This pool pic was taken at the END of September. Waiting for the fall air to move in. Trying to soak up the sun while we can, I guess. Kids don't seem to mind.. and the pool is less busy this time of year. hehe:
Play date fun with friends:
More randoms from throughout the month:
I have friends who like to hang out in the evenings. These are some fun ones from a few different girl's nights from the past month. Love allll these gorgeous gals! They keep me sane!!

Field Day for Ivy

Last week Ivy had her field day at school and I couldn't be there because of scheduling conflicts with other things but Sam luckily had the day off and was able to go hang out with her! They had a blast with all sorts of relays and bounce houses and snow cones. Her school is super organized and very well supported. She had a great time, despite it being a little breezy. I guess it's better than being sweltering hot outside.
